Between Wednesday 29th and Friday 31st May 2013 Dragon Hall’s Radio Active 101 team and the Radio Active101 Technical team spent 3 days in an intensive training course in Bremen, Germany.
The training covered a wide range of technical areas including what the equipment does, how the software works and how to troubleshoot potential problems.
“We learnt a number of different ways to set up our radio station as well as some best practice tips in terms of broadcasting and streaming.
In addition to the long and intensive days we were able to experience some wonderful German hospitality and some of Bremens interesting sights.
Both our hosts from Ponty and the University of Bremen along with the friendly locals made us feel right at home.
Bremen is a beautiful city with some great food and entertainment. It was a great way to mark Dragon Halls first overseas trip.”
Overall Dragon Hall Staff had a wonderful, exhausting and rewarding time. They came back with some new knowledge, met some lovely people and can’t wait to go back again!
And from the radioactive101 station point of view – it was an invaluable opportunity to jump-start the post-pilot phase, with the technical and youth worker teams working together like a well-oiled engine!
